Q. What Type of Franchise is Available?
A. InFrasys, Inc. is offering franchises for the production and sale of SealMaster® pavement sealers, and the sale of pavement products, equipment, and SportMaster tennis and track surfacing products. SealMaster® franchises are available as a “startup” business for people that are “new” to the business. “Conversion” franchises are available to companies that have been involved in pavement sealant manufacturing for at least two of the past five years.
Q. How Much Does a SealMaster® Franchise Cost?
A. The total estimated investment for each individual franchise ranges from $650,000 To $1 million, which includes a franchise fee of $35,000. The total investment figures include the cost of manufacturing equipment, initial inventory, tanker, signage, vehicles, working capital and other expenses.
Q. What is the Charge for Continuing Services?
A. The continuous service fee equals 5% of gross sales. This fee entitles the franchise owner to continued use of the SealMaster®/SportMaster® names and trademarks, access to our confidential operating systems, unique sealant formulations, marketing techniques and other benefits that come with being part of the SealMaster® franchise network.
Q. What About Advertising?
A. Building recognition of the SealMaster® name and reputation is an essential, ongoing objective designed to benefit everyone involved in the system. To this end each franchise contributes 1.5% of gross revenues to the national advertising fund. This fee covers catalog production/mailing, media advertising, direct mail, internet marketing, trade shows, and other advertising and marketing activities. Each franchise will spend a minimum of 1% on local advertising in their territory. Typical local advertising expenditures include open houses, product demonstrations and literature, and promotional items.
Q. How Much Training Do I Receive in the SealMaster® System of Operations?
A. You and your designated manager (if any) and up to three employees will participate in an initial training and familiarization course of one to two weeks in duration. You’ll learn SealMaster® manufacturing, sales and marketing techniques, financial controls and other administrative and operational aspects of the SealMaster® business. In addition, a SealMaster® field representative will provide additional assistance at your location to help you get started.
Q. What Form of Continuing Guidance Will I Receive?
A. As a SealMaster® franchise owner, you’ll receive periodic visits from a trained field representative, who will provide guidance and quality control. In addition, you will receive access to the SealMaster® Confidential Operations Manual, which covers the policies and procedures involved in running your business. As the manual is updated, revisions will be made available to you. And, of course, we’ll be only a phone call away for answers to questions that arise during the day-to-day operation of your franchise.
Q. Will I Have an Exclusive Territory?
A. Yes, every SealMaster® franchise will be awarded a “designated business area”. Your area of primary responsibility will be determined by population base or geographical area.
Q. What is the Term of the SealMaster® Franchise Agreement?
A. The initial term of the SealMaster® franchise is ten years. The franchise is renewable for three subsequent five year terms, provided renewal criteria are satisfied.
