Pave Gel Sealer Additive
Enhance Sealer Durability with Rubberized Polymer
Pave Gel is a rubberized polymer additive designed to improve the performance and durability of coal tar pitch emulsion and asphalt-based pavement sealers. It strengthens the sealer film, improves sand suspension and retention and reduces scuffing and power steering marks.
Pave Gel also accelerates drying times, improves resistance to gasoline and oil and produces a darker black finish. It can be used in pavement sealer mix designs for commercial, municipal and airport applications, including formulations designed to meet FAA specifications P-625, P-627 and P-631.

Features & Benefits
Improved Surface Toughness
Pave Gel increases the toughness of the pavement sealer film for improved durability and extended wear.
Enhanced Sand Suspension & Retention
Pave Gel improves sand suspension throughout the sealer mixture and locks sand into the finished coating for extended wear.
Fast Drying Times
Pave Gel accelerates pavement sealer drying times, reducing the time required for the finished coating to dry.Â
Reduced Scuffing & Power Steering Marks
Pave Gel reduces surface scuffing and power steering marks to maintain a cleaner, more uniform pavement appearance.
Improved Gasoline & Oil Resistance
Pave Gel enhances the pavement sealer film’s resistance to gasoline and oil, improving performance in areas exposed to contaminants.Â
Darker, Richer Black Finish
Pave Gel produces a darker black finish that enhances the appearance of freshly sealed pavement.
FAA Specifications
Pave Gel supports pavement sealer formulations designed to meet FAA P-625, P-627 and P-631 specifications. Higher concentrations of Pave Gel may be required to meet the specified mix design.

Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is essential for a long-lasting sealcoat. For newly paved asphalt surfaces, allow a minimum curing time of four weeks under ideal weather conditions (around 70°F) before applying. All surfaces must be clean and free of loose material, dirt and dust.Â
Mixing Procedures
Add a minimum of 1-2 gallons of Pave Gel per 100 gallons of SealMaster coal tar or asphalt-based pavement sealer concentrate. Dilute Pave Gel 1:1 with water before adding it to the sealer mixture.
With the tank agitator running, add water to the sealer concentrate, followed by the diluted Pave Gel. Slowly add sand as the mixture thickens. Maintain agitation throughout application for a uniform consistency. Higher concentrations of Pave Gel may be required for FAA-specified applications.
Application
Apply SealMaster pavement sealer fortified with Pave Gel using pressurized spray or squeegee equipment. Apply two coats for optimum performance, with an optional third coat in high-traffic areas.
Refer to the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for complete mixing and application instructions.
Important:
Temperatures must be above 50°F during application and remain so for at least 24 hours afterward. Do not apply when rain is imminent or forecast.
Available Sizes:
5-Gallon Pail – 47 lbs. | 55-Gallon Drum – 520 lbs.
Before Sealcoating:
- Fill pavement cracks with SealMaster hot-pour or cold-applied crack fillerÂ
- Treat grease, oil and gasoline stains with SealMaster PetroSeal or PrepSealÂ
- Remove dirt, dust, and loose material from the pavement surface
