FSA Sealer Additive
Fast-Drying Performance for Time-Sensitive Projects
Fast Sealing Additive (FSA) is a high-performance additive that reduces pavement sealer drying times by 50% or more. It is compatible with coal tar emulsion, asphalt emulsion, and blended pavement sealers, enabling contractors to complete sealcoating projects with less downtime. This product is especially useful for busy parking lots, drive-thrus and other areas where minimizing traffic disruptions is important.
FSA also improves sealer bonding, flexibility and resistance to gasoline and oil. Its formula reduces tracking, improves sand dispersion and produces a darker black finish for a clean, professional appearance.

Features & Benefits
Faster Drying Times
FSA reduces pavement sealer drying times by 50% or more, helping contractors minimize downtime on parking lots, drive-thrus and other time-sensitive projects.
Maintains Sealer Viscosity
FSA accelerates drying without thickening the pavement sealer, maintaining a consistent mixture during application.
Improved Bonding & Flexibility
FSA improves sealer bonding and increases the flexibility of the finished coating for better pavement sealer performance.
Reduced Tracking
FSA reduces tracking and surface pickup, helping maintain a cleaner pavement appearance when treated areas reopen to traffic.
Improved Gasoline & Oil Resistance
FSA enhances the finished sealer film’s resistance to gasoline and oil in areas exposed to automotive contaminants.
Improved Sand Dispersion
FSA improves sand dispersion throughout the sealer mixture for a more uniform application.
Darker Black Finish
FSA produces a darker black finish that enhances the appearance of freshly sealed pavement.

Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is essential for a long-lasting sealcoat. For newly paved asphalt surfaces, allow a minimum curing time of four weeks under ideal weather conditions (around 70°F) before applying. All surfaces must be clean and free of loose material, dirt and dust.
Mixing Procedures
Mix FSA thoroughly before use. Add FSA and a portion of the water to the pavement sealer, then begin agitation. Gradually add the remaining water as needed to maintain the desired consistency. FSA does not require pre-dilution.
| Material | Amount |
|---|---|
| FSA Additive | 2-5 gal. |
| Water | 10-35 gal. |
| Sand | 100-400 lbs. |
Note: Recommended quantities are based on 100 gallons of pavement sealer
Application
Apply pavement sealer fortified with FSA using spray equipment, a squeegee or a brush. Lightly dampen the pavement with a water fog spray before application without leaving puddles.
Apply a second coat once the first coat has dried sufficiently to resist scuffing. Check the finished surface for tracking and scuff marks before reopening the pavement to traffic.
Refer to the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for complete mixing and application instructions.
Important:
Temperatures must be above 50°F during application and remain so for at least 24 hours afterward. Do not apply when rain is imminent or forecast.
Available Sizes:
Available Sizes | 5-Gallon Pail – 47 lbs.
Before Sealcoating:
- Fill pavement cracks with SealMaster hot-pour or cold-applied crack fillerÂ
- Treat grease, oil and gasoline stains with SealMaster PetroSeal or PrepSealÂ
- Remove dirt, dust, and loose material from the pavement surface
