Protect Your Sealcoat from Oil & Grease Stains
Petro Seal is a concentrated acrylic-based emulsion designed to treat oil and grease spots before sealcoating. It creates a protective barrier over contaminated pavement to help prevent stains from bleeding through freshly applied sealer.
Its water-based formula can be diluted to meet application requirements. Petro Seal can be applied using a brush, roller or spray equipment to prepare oil-stained asphalt surfaces for sealcoating.

Surface Preparation
Remove dirt, dust and loose debris from the pavement surface. Remove excessive oil, grease and gasoline buildup before applying Petro Seal. A torch may be used to burn away any residue.
Mixing Procedures
Petro Seal is supplied as a concentrate and can be diluted with up to 2 parts water per 1 part Petro Seal. A 1-to-1 dilution ratio is recommended for most applications. Mix thoroughly before applying.
Application
Apply properly mixed Petro Seal using a roller, brush or spray equipment. Allow the material to dry completely before applying pavement sealer.
NOTE: A small amount of sand may be broadcast onto wet Petro Seal to improve the mechanical bond between Petro Seal and the pavement sealer once dry.

Coverage
Petro Seal covers approximately 300 to 400 square feet per gallon of concentrate when diluted with water at a 1-to-1 ratio.
NOTE: Coverage varies depending on the application and pavement conditions.
Important:
Temperatures must be above 50°F during application and remain so for at least 24 hours afterward.
