Liquid Road Ultra is a polymer-modified, fiber-reinforced asphalt emulsion pavement coating designed for long-lasting pavement preservation. The formula is designed to be mixed with specially graded aggregate to create a tough, slip-resistant surface treatment. It replenishes binder lost through oxidation and weathering while helping protect asphalt pavement from UV rays, chemicals and moisture intrusion.

Asphalt Emulsion Pavement Coating
Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is essential for a long-lasting, successful sealcoat. For newly paved asphalt surfaces, allow a minimum curing time of four weeks under ideal weather conditions (around 70°F) before applying. All surfaces must be clean and free of loose material, dirt and dust.
Before Sealcoating:
- Fill pavement cracks with SealMaster hot-pour or cold-applied crack filler
- Treat grease, oil and gasoline stains with SealMaster PetroSeal or PrepSeal
- Remove dirt, dust and loose material from the pavement surface
Mixing Procedures
For optimum results, mix Liquid Road to a uniform consistency using the recommended mix design. Based on 100 gallons of Liquid Road for ease of calculation.

Parking Lot Applications: Use 20-30 Mesh AFS sand.
Road Applications: Use 11-15 Mesh AFS sand.
NOTE: If required, a small amount of water may be added to facilitate application of the mixed material.
Application
For optimum performance and durability, apply a minimum of two coats of Liquid Road.
A third coat may be applied in high-traffic areas such as parking lot entrances, exits and drive lanes for added durability. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next coat. After the final application, allow 24 hours before opening the pavement to vehicle traffic.
Important:
Temperatures must be above 50°F during application and remain so for at least 24 hours afterward. Do not apply when rain is imminent or forecast.
Coverage
Parking Lot Applications
When properly mixed and applied, one gallon of Liquid Road will cover approximately 55-66 sq. ft. per coat or 6.11-7.33 sq. yd. per coat.
Road Applications
When properly mixed and applied, one gallon of Liquid Road will cover approximately 20-25 sq. ft. per coat or 2.2-2.77 sq. yd. per coat.
