Detroit Grand Prix Marks Sixth Podium Finish of 2022 Season

Ben Barnicoat, Kyle Kirkwood hoist GTD trophies

The Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 IMSA team continues to keep SealMaster in the spotlight with six podium finishes—including a double podium—in the first seven races of the 2022 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series.

Ben Barnicoat and Kyle Kirkwood brought home the fist-place GDT class trophy at the Detroit Grand Prix, piloting the SealMaster Lexus at Bell Isle. The followed Frankie Montecalvo’ and Aaron Telitz’s third-place finish in the previous race at Mid-Ohio.

The team raced to back-to-back, second-place finishes in the GTD Pro Class at Laguna Seca, and on the Long Beach Street Circuit with Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat behind the wheel. Montecalvo and Telitz joined them on the Long Beach podium with a third-place GTD finish. The team will next travel to Watkins Glen, NY, June 26 for a six-hour race.
