Coughlin Jr. Leads NHRA Charge to Benefit Children’s Burn Camp

Jun 20, 2017

SealMaster is pleased to announce its NHRA Top Fuel Driver Troy Coughlin Jr. is leading the charge at this weekend’s Summit Racing Nationals to help raise funds for the Akron Children’s Hospital Burn Camp. Coughlin Jr. pilots the SealMaster dragster for Kalitta Motorsports in the NHRA Mello Yello Series. All NHRA teams are backing the effort by participating in an Aluminum Cans for Burned Children collection drive at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Friday, June 23, through Sunday, June 25.

SealMaster is collaborating with Jegs, Kalitta Motorsports, Don Schumacher Racing, John Force Racing, Elite Motorsports, Summit Motorsports Park and Norwalk Waste Materials to support the effort. Coughlin Jr. works at the family business, Jegs, when he’s not behind the wheel of a race car. The cause became important him when family friends – the wife and Daughter of a Jegs employee – required treatment from the Akron Children’s Hospital Burn Unit after a kitchen fire. When he went to the hospital to visit, he was inspired not only by the care and compassion of the staff, but by the patients who were there to receive treatment.
